Discovery Dash 5K/10K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event takes place at Discovery Park of America in Union City, TN on October 10, 2026. It includes multiple race distances that run through the park grounds and seasonal displays.

- 1 Mile Fun Run (1 mile)
Course features include a man-made river, waterfalls, bridges and other park elements. Routes pass a 120 year old church, an 1800s frontier settlement, a reproduction of an early 19th century town and a vintage train station. The Settlement area will be presented as a Pumpkin Village during the event.
Race day operations include registration, pre-race entertainment, an inflatable archway finish line, finisher certificates and winner medals. Awards for the 5K and 10K are given separately for males and females in these age categories: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
Registration opens March 27 and closes September 1. Early registration through August 31 includes a Discovery Dash T shirt and two complimentary admission tickets to the park and is priced as follows: 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run $25, 10K $30. Beginning September 1 registration prices increase to $30 for the 5K and 1 Mile and $35 for the 10K; T shirts are available while supplies last. Sponsors include Thompson CAT Machinery.
