Discovery Dash 5K/10K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Discovery Dash takes place on October 10, 2026 at Discovery Park of America, 830 Everett Blvd, Union City, TN 38261, US. The event offers three distances:
- 5K (3.11 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 1 mile fun run
The course runs through the 50-acre heritage park and passes man-made river features, waterfalls, bridges and a number of historic reproductions. Participants will move past a 120-year-old church, an 1800s frontier settlement, a reproduction of an early 19th-century town and a vintage train station. The Settlement area will be presented as a Pumpkin Village for the event.
Registration opens March 27 and closes September 1, 2026. Registration fees before August 31 are $25 for the 5K and 1 mile and $30 for the 10K. Beginning September 1 fees increase to $30 for the 5K and 1 mile and $35 for the 10K. Early registration includes a Discovery Dash T shirt and two complimentary admission tickets to Discovery Park for the day; T shirts after September 1 are available while supplies last.
Race-day check-in and pre-race entertainment are part of the event. The finish area includes an inflatable archway, and participants may receive finisher certificates and winner medals. Awards in the 5K and 10K are given to males and females in age categories 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. Sponsors include Thompson CAT Machinery.
