About the race
The Discovery Dash at Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee offers multiple running options across park grounds and historic exhibits. The course winds past water features, bridges and constructed waterways and goes through The Settlement when it is presented as a Pumpkin Village. The route also passes a 120 year old church, an 1800s frontier settlement, a reproduction of an early 19th century town and a vintage train station.
Distances include:
- 1 Miles 1 Mile Fun Run
- 3.11 Miles 5K
- 6.2 Miles 10K
Race day features include on site check in, pre race entertainment, an inflatable archway finish, finisher certificates and winner medals. Early registration details and fees differ by distance; registrations completed before September 15 include a Discovery Dash T shirt and two complimentary admission tickets to Discovery Park for the day. Beginning September 16 registration fees increase and T shirts are available while supplies last.
Awards for the 5K and 10K are presented separately for males and females in these age categories: 5 to 8, 9 to 12, 13 to 16, 17 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59 and 60 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
