Dirty December Run - Holiday Trail Fun Run
The event is a trail running event held at Sycamore Canyon with multiple course options. Distances offered include:
- Marathon (approx 3,500 feet elevation gain)
- Half Marathon (approx 2,300 feet elevation gain)
- 10K (approx 1,000 feet elevation gain)
- Hill Climb
Average temperatures for the event are listed near 66/46. All entrants receive a long sleeve technical shirt and finishers receive a finishers award. First place male and female overall in each distance receive a free race entry for the following year. A special prize is awarded for best costume.
The event enforces several safety and conduct rules. Runners must carry all food, fluids, clothing, and supplies needed between aid stations and must carry a minimum of 40 ounces of water. Except for medical emergencies, runners may accept no aid from others between aid stations. Participants must follow the marked trail at all times and are responsible for the actions of their crews and pacers. Littering results in immediate disqualification. Each runner must be checked in at every aid station; entrants who withdraw must inform aid station personnel and turn in their race bibs to avoid being classified as lost.
