Dirt Days Trail Series - West Side, Best Side 5K Trail Run at Shawnee Lookout
The event is scheduled for October 18, 2026, at Shawnee Lookout Hamilton County Park in North Bend, OH. The running course begins and ends at the Waterhole Meadow Shelter and follows a combination of two nature-trail loops. The course uses the 1.3-mile Blue Jacket loop and the 2.0-mile Little Turtle loop and measures approximately 3.44 miles (5.54 km). The park sits above the confluence of the Great Miami and Ohio Rivers and offers views of the Ohio River and Great Miami River valleys.
Shawnee Lookout includes historical features such as a spring house school, a log cabin, and Native American archaeological earthworks. Park facilities mentioned for visitors include picnic areas, a playground, and boat access to the Great Miami River. A course map is provided by the organizer.
This race is the final event of the Dirt Days Trail Series and gives participants a last opportunity to earn series points. Individual event awards are age graded, and randomly drawn door prizes are offered with the requirement that winners be present to accept prizes. Timing will use MyLaps disposable bib tags attached to the race bib.
