This is a self-supported marathon held at Canyonside Park Driveway in San Diego, CA 92126. The event is presented as a non-race: there will be no course markings, no aid stations, and no official support provided. Participants may arrange their own crew or pacer and may run any portion of the course.
The course is a clockwise loop. A GPX file and a Garmin course are available for navigation. Around mile 11 the route passes Torrey Pine North Parking Lot, where restrooms and water fountains are available. The published start/finish location is the Canyonside Park Driveway; directions from Black Mountain Road indicate driving straight to the end of the ballpark (field 9) and then turning right into a half-paved, half-dirt parking area.
No official timing is provided. If a participant wants an official result, free registration is required, the participant must follow the published course on the specified date and time, and then submit a time and proof of the run to the organizer. Registration for results was listed as closed on April 30, 2026. The event was renamed in memory of a friend who frequently ran this course and organized local hiking and biking activities.
