About the race
The Dimboola Dash Running Festival is a trail running event in Dimboola, Victoria on April 11, 2027. The courses follow trails alongside the Wimmera River, using an out-and-back 7 km section between Dimboola and the Lochiel Rest Area. Distances offered include: - Marathon, three laps of a 14.07 km trail alongside the Wimmera River - Half marathon, three laps of a 7.03 km trail - 10 km run, out-and-back on the Wimmera River trail - 10 km walk, out-and-back on the river trail - 5 km run or walk, out-and-back on the trail - Free 2 km Kids' Dash, untimed event for under 12s The festival is presented as a companion event to other regional running festivals in Victoria and New South Wales. Dimboola, Mildura and Horsham events are grouped into a Western Victoria Marathon Festival Series with combined entry options for the marathon, half marathon and 10 km run.
Participants who complete all three longer events receive a special Triple Crown commemorative medal in addition to the Horsham medal. The event aims to attract runners from across Australia, encourage local children and adults to take up running, and offer an additional annual challenge for the local parkrun and running community.
