Dimboola Dash Running Festival
The Dimboola Dash Running Festival takes place on Sunday 11 April 2027 in the historic town of Dimboola, Victoria. It is the second running of the event following the inaugural Dash in April 2026.
Races start and finish in Dimboola and use a 7 km stretch of newly constructed trails and established walking tracks alongside the Wimmera River. The route runs between Dimboola and the Lochiel Rest Area at the edge of the Western Highway.
Offered distances:
- Marathon three out-and-back laps
- Half marathon appropriate turn-around point
- 10 km out-and-back on the same trail
- 5 km shorter out-and-back option
- 2 km Kids' Dash short course for children
All participants receive a finisher medal. The event includes drink stations and volunteer support provided by the Lions Club of Dimboola together with the Dimboola Progress Association. Entry fees are described as modest and an event shirt designed by Imigo Dawn will be available for purchase.
The festival is held in a riverside environment and the town of Dimboola offers vintage shops, cafes and the Imaginarium for visitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
