About the race
The Dieterich Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk is a community running event held at the Dieterich Wright Family Center in Dieterich, Illinois, on November 26, 2026. The event offers two timed runs and accepts participants across a wide range of age divisions.

- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration details include a range of entry fees from $25.00 to $35.00. Online registration opens on May 30 and closes on November 25. Registrations on the day of the event are handled at the Dieterich Wright Family Center from 6:15 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. Participants who register by November 5 receive a long sleeve event t-shirt.
All proceeds benefit the Dieterich Community Education Foundation. On race day all participants are entered into a $100 drawing. The top two male and top two female finishers in the overall results receive event medals, and the overall male and female winners are awarded a pie. Age divisions are 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over.
