D-backs Race Against Cancer 5K
The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation Race Against Cancer, presented by Dignity Health Cancer Institute, is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Chase Field. Now in its 13th year, the event benefits Arizona nonprofit organizations that provide cancer screening, treatment and support for individuals and families affected by all types of cancer.
The event features a 5K run/walk that begins and ends at the ballpark. Registration is required in advance and there will be no race day registration. Registration fees are $50 plus fees through September 18, 2026 and $60 plus fees after that date. Early registrants by September 14 receive a bonus upper-level ticket to a September series vs. the Marlins. Race entry includes a commemorative race shirt, drawstring bag, finisher medal and chip timing.
Packet pick-up is available from a tent on 4th Street near the starting line. The course welcomes wheelchairs, strollers and wagons and prohibits roller blades, skateboards, motorized devices and pets on the run course. The event occurs rain or shine and registration fees are non-refundable.
Post-race activities include a victory lap inside Chase Field reserved for registered participants and a Wellness Zone on the ballpark plaza near Gate E. All proceeds benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and are earmarked for programs and nonprofits focused on screening, treatment and support for those affected by cancer.
