Día de los Muertos 5K - El Paso
The inaugural 5K takes place at Album Park in El Paso on October 31, 2026. The event is presented by Flowar and held in partnership with the 41st Annual KLAQ Halloween Parade.
The course welcomes runners and walkers and is open to ages 6 and older. Costumes are encouraged, including Día de los Muertos calavera styles or Halloween costumes. Participants may write the name or names of a loved one on their race bib.
Registration opens on August 24, 2026 and closes on October 31, 2026; the registration fee is $55.00. All finishers will receive a special Día de los Muertos medal while supplies last; medals are available to the first 500 participants. Awards for the overall top male and female finishers and age-group awards will be presented during the parade award ceremony.
After crossing the finish line, participants can remain at the park to watch the parade and its award presentations. The event combines a community running and walking activity with local Día de los Muertos and Halloween traditions at Album Park, 3110 Parkwood St., El Paso, TX 79925.
