Devon Coast to Coast Ultra & Marathon
This is a multi-distance endurance event that crosses Devon and both Dartmoor and Exmoor national parks. The route starts in Wembury, follows the 17 mile Erme-Plym Trail to Ivybridge and then follows the Two Moors Way, a waymarked 100 mile trail from the south of Dartmoor to the north of Exmoor, finishing at Lynmouth. The route briefly crosses into Somerset on Exmoor.
Distances and stages include:
- Devon Coast to Coast Ultra 112 miles non stop from Wembury to Lynmouth (38 hours)
- Devon 75km 75 km Wembury to Chagford including a full Dartmoor crossing (14 hours)
- Devon 100km 100 km Chagford to Lynmouth covering mid Devon and Exmoor (25 hours)
- Exmoor in a day (Marathon) Marathon West Anstey to Lynmouth full Exmoor crossing (12 hours)
All entries include mandatory tracker hire. Checkpoints are fully stocked and include hot drinks and hot food. The event permits support teams to meet participants at key locations on the non stop route.
The route is waymarked and a GPX file is provided for GPS devices. Some open moorland sections require navigation and care when following roads or crossing fields. A printed map covering Ivybridge to Lynmouth is available separately. Transport to each start is offered for the distance options and no return transport is provided after the event.
