Devon Coast to Coast Ultra & Marathon

The Devon Coast to Coast is a multi-distance trail event crossing the county of Devon from south to north. The route connects the South Hams to the Bristol Channel, passing through two national parks and utilizing the Erme-Plym Trail and the Two Moors Way.

Participants follow waymarked tracks from the coast at Wembury, through Ivybridge, and across the moorlands of Dartmoor and Exmoor to reach the finish in Lynmouth. While the route uses established paths, some sections involve open moorland and road segments where navigation is required. Digital maps and GPX files are available to assist with route finding.

Available distances and routes:

  • Devon Coast to Coast Ultra: A 112 mile non-stop journey from Wembury to Lynmouth.
  • Devon 100km: A route from Chagford on Dartmoor to the coast at Lynmouth.
  • Devon 75km: A course from Wembury to Chagford, including a full Dartmoor crossing.
  • Exmoor in a Day (Marathon): A 26.2 mile stage from West Anstey to Lynmouth.

The event provides fully-stocked checkpoints featuring hot food and drinks. All participants are required to carry a mandatory tracker, which is included in the entry fee. Support teams are permitted to meet runners at specific locations during the non-stop ultra event. Optional transport to the starting points is available for booking, though no return transport is provided after the event concludes.
