Event overview
The Devon Coast to Coast event takes place 18-19 April 2026. It follows the Two Moors Way and the Erme-Plym Trail, running across Devon from Wembury to Lynmouth and crossing Dartmoor and Exmoor. The route crosses county boundaries and briefly passes into Somerset on Exmoor. Checkpoints on the route are fully stocked and include hot drinks and hot food. Live GPS tracking and mandatory tracker hire are included with entries.
Courses and route details
- 112 miles (180 km) non-stop from Wembury to Lynmouth, crossing two national parks, with a 38 hour time limit.
- 75 km from Wembury to Chagford, including a full Dartmoor crossing, with a 14 hour time limit.
- 100 km from Chagford to Lynmouth, covering mid Devon and Exmoor, with a 25 hour time limit.
- Marathon stage from West Anstey to Lynmouth, a full Exmoor crossing open to runners and walkers.
The route is waymarked but includes some open moorland and sections where navigation is required. A GPX file is available, and the route can be followed using the Outdoor Active app. A printed Harvey map covering Ivybridge to Lynmouth is available separately.
Logistics
Transport to start locations is offered from the finish before the event for each distance option; this is an optional extra and there is no return transport after the event.
