Devil's Trail Schiermonnikoog
Devil’s Trail Schiermonnikoog takes place on 6 and 7 November 2026 on the Wadden island Schiermonnikoog with start and finish at two island locations: De Berkenplas (Friday) and De Oorsprong (Saturday, Heereweg 8, 9166 SE Schiermonnikoog). Registration opens in February 2026; participant limit is 1000.

- 15 km Kobbeduinen Trail
- 30 km Brakzand Trail
- KidsTrail 1 km and 3 km
Routes run through dunes, bospaden, wide beach sections, and (vochtige) kwelderpaadjes, with mul sand and frequent up-and-down sections. All marked routes are checked shortly before the event; GPX files and route maps are sent to participants about a week prior. The 10 km has one fourage point (about 4.5 km), the 15 km one point (about 7 km), and the 30 km two points (about 11 km and 18 km). The event is cupless; participants must bring their own cup or bottle.
NightTrail runners receive a separate start number and must carry a headlamp. Timing chips are included in the listed prices. Boat tickets must be reserved by participants; the return trip off the island is included with the ticket. A minimum of €1.50 per participant goes to Natuurmonumenten / Nationaal Park Schiermonnikoog. A time limit applies; average speed must be at least 7.5 km per hour.
