The race starts at the Melia Desert Palm Hotel and runs through landscaped gardens, grass polo fields, sandy urban tracks and tree-lined private roads. Course surfaces include grass, sand, gravel and paved roads. The event description notes running past horses, birds and flowers along the estate.
