About the race
The Asia Intercontinental Marathon is the Asian leg of the World Marathon Challenge 2026 held in Dubai on Tuesday, 02 February 2027. The event offers two race distances run as multiple laps around the Expo City Dubai site and includes running past the illuminated Al Wasl Dome during evening and night conditions.
Distances:
- 42.2 km marathon
- 21.1 km half marathon
One hundred athletes will join runners from across the world for this event, with more than 60 international athletes expected from Australia. The marathon has an eight hour cut off time; athletes who do not finish within this period will continue the World Marathon Challenge itinerary and travel on to the next location. Dubai-based runners will take part alongside visiting athletes.
Included with entry are a certificate, a medal, refreshments, timing, and a race shirt. Registration is available online and closes on 02.02.2027 at 12:00 AM or sooner if places sell out. Cancellations and category changes are accepted up to 25.01.2027 at 11:59 PM or sooner if the event sells out.
