Des Chênes-toi! Bourret Race - Drummondville
Des Chênes-toi! Bourret is a road running and walking event held in Drummondville, Centre-du-Québec. The program includes distances from youth races to a Boston-certified marathon, a marathon relay option, and a corporate challenge.
Race organizers use timing mats at relay exchange points to record split times. The marathon relay is open to teams of 2 to 5 participants; some relay exchanges require participants to reach the exchange on foot or by shuttle. The event holds provincial sanctioning.
The event has developed over more than 16 years and reports substantial participation: more than 11,000 cumulative registrations, over 200 companies taking part in the corporate challenge, and over 2,500 walkers registered for the 2.5 km and 5 km walk events. The organization works with a large volunteer base and multiple local partners.
