Des Chênes-toi! Bourret race
The Des Chênes-toi! Bourret race takes place in Drummondville, Centre-du-Québec, and is organized by #JECOURSDMV. The event includes running and walking events, a certified marathon, and a marathon relay with teams of two to five members. Over its 16 plus years of history the event has recorded more than 11 000 registrations and involved over 200 companies in the corporate challenge. Walking events gather over 2 500 participants for the 5 km and 2.5 km options.
The marathon relay uses timed mats at each exchange and divides the course into numbered segments; teams must follow their assigned sequence of kilometers. Relays 1 and 2 are served by shuttle buses; relays 3 and 4 require participants to arrive on foot, which may involve a walk or warmup of roughly 2 km. Relay 4 also functions as the gathering point for teams that want to complete the final kilometre together. The start and finish are located at École Marie-Rivier, 265 Rue St-Félix, Drummondville.
The event holds official recognitions, including a gold eco responsible certification and a gold sanction from Athletics Quebec. A large network of partners and volunteers supports the organisation annually.
