Défi Orford 2026
Défi Orford is a community mountain challenge held at Mont-Orford in Orford, QC. The core objective of the full challenge is to complete eight ascents of Mont-Orford via the Grande Coulée, each ascent being a roughly 5 km round trip with about 450 m elevation gain, but participants may choose to do any number of ascents.
Participants check in at a designated meeting point on arrival and join scheduled group departures for their climbs. Arrival and departure are flexible: people can arrive when they wish, join group starts, skip specific departures, and leave at any time. The format accepts both running and walking at individual pace.
Organizers note that the event is in person, open to all ages, and provides free parking. Safety, equipment, and pacing are the responsibility of each participant. Refunds are available up to one day before the event.
The event includes multiple group start waves throughout the day and runs across the day at Mont-Orford. The route follows the Grande Coulée and is suitable for repeated ascents according to personal choice. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
