Défi Everest Orford 2026
The 7th edition of Défi Everest Orford takes place from September 25 to 27 2026 at Mont Orford, Orford, QC. During the event, teams of hikers accompany people with functional limitations on ascents using specialized equipment such as the Joëlette and the Trackz Mobilité hiking wheelchair.
The collective goal is to complete at least 19 ascents per day, an elevation equivalent to Mount Everest. The event is a charity fundraiser with a target of $50,000 for AlterGo and the Fondation des sports adaptés, organizations that work for the well being and inclusion of people with disabilities.
Registration is available for individuals who wish to join an existing team as a hiker or as a participant with a functional limitation. Each additional ascent requires a separate registration. Teams should contact the organizers to provide a team name, the number of hikers and the planned ascents. A fundraising page is required with a minimum target of $100 for individual participants and $1,000 for teams.
Participants may join between colleagues, friends, family or solo, and the event can be used as a team mobilization opportunity for companies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
