Défi des Collines : event overview
Défi des Collines takes place between Magog and Sherbrooke, in Sainte‑Catherine‑de‑Hatley. The event offers several mapped running distances. Routes for each distance are provided by the organizer.
The distances offered are:
- 30 km
- 15 km
- 11 km
- 5.5 km
Bib pickup is held at the Sainte‑Catherine‑de‑Hatley community centre. On‑site registration is accepted in cash only. Runners in the 15 km must use a shuttle to reach their start location.
During the race, water points are positioned every 2 to 3 km; each point supplies water and Pro Circuit sports drink. Medical service is available and a shuttle service is provided in case of withdrawal. Live results are posted on sportchrono.com.
After the race, each participant receives a medal, a gift and a post‑race meal. There is a podium and medal presentation for the top three men and women in each distance.
Logistical notes mention parking near the town hall and at Dominique Savio School, and parking along Chemin de la Montagne; participants are asked not to use the parking in front of the convenience store. The event relies on volunteers; surplus food will go to the Banque Alimentaire Memphrémagog. Used coats, windbreakers and shoes can be brought for redistribution.
