About the race
Deep Hollow Half Marathon & 5K Trail Race takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, VA. The event includes a half marathon run primarily on single-track trail with some forest road sections, and a 5K held as an out-and-back on a forest road.

- 5K 3.1 miles
Packet pickup information and race shirts are provided. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 9 at LaHaye Rotunda from noon to 6:00 PM, and on race day at Hydaway Outdoor Center from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM; the information packet includes a race shirt and bib. The giveaway t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed before October 1; a limited number of extra shirts will be available at packet pickup on a first-come basis.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three male and female finishers in each age group, and top male and female masters overall for runners over 40. All finishers of the half marathon receive a finisher award. Overall awards are ranked by gun time and age group awards by chip time. Door prizes will be distributed during the event. The race is part of the Liberty Mountain Trail Series and offers an LMTS finisher award for participants who complete all five LMTS races in April 2027.
