About the race
The Debrecen Maraton takes place in Debrecen on 4 April 2027. The event offers multiple race options on a city route that passes notable landmarks, historic buildings and central squares.
Distances offered:
- 42.2 km marathon
- 42.2 km marathon relay
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 21.1 km half marathon relay
- 10 km quarter marathon
- 5 km short distance
- 1.7 km children and charity run
Event services and arrangements include a searchable photo archive by bib number, on-site sport and sustainability expo in the Nagyerdei Stadion HALL on 28 and 29 March, and health care coordinated by the Debreceni Egyetem Sportdiagnosztikai, Életmód és Terápiás Központ (SET Center). The charity run’s entry fees are allocated to cleaning the Nagyerdő. Relay teams receive individual bibs and a single timing band for handover. The course measurements for marathon, half and quarter distances have been officially certified. Organisers and principal supporters include the Debreceni Egyetem and the city of Debrecen.
