DC Estate Wine Run 5k
The DC Estate Wine Run 5k is a chip timed 5K run and walk held at DC Estate Winery in South Beloit, Illinois on June 20, 2026. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted online. Registration includes a soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip timed race bib, and a pour of wine.
The course is a mostly cross country style route through the vineyards with grass and uneven sections. The organizer notes the course is scenic and not intended for setting personal best times. The event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine; severe weather or lightning may result in a delayed start.
Age group awards are offered in 10 year categories with custom awards for top finishers in each group. Awards are available for pickup at the registration table on race day only. Competitive runners should start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Minors may register at a discounted rate but will not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground. Dogs are not permitted on site.
Packet pickup is available on race morning only. A virtual participation option is offered and packets can be shipped for a fee. Free race photos will be available for download after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
