Dash for Domestic Violence Awareness 5K

This event is a 5 km charity run taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Alexander Park in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Its purpose is to raise awareness and funds in the fight against domestic violence.

The race offers two registration categories: Individual Age Group/Open and Groups of five or more. Standard registration for the 5 km is $30.00, with a discount available for groups. Participants are guaranteed a race t-shirt if they register by September 21st.

Course and Schedule

The course is a USATF-certified loop through Alexander Park. It is described as fairly flat, running on paths and roads alongside a lake and over a dam, finishing where it starts. There is a restroom along the course. On race day, registration and packet pickup begin at 6:30 AM at the first pavilion. The race starts at 8:00 AM.

Awards and Beneficiaries

Awards will be presented for overall male and female finishers, as well as for three-deep placements in various age groups. Funds raised from the event support three non-profit organizations: Mosaic Georgia, Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), and Ahimsa House. These organizations provide services and support for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and help for their pets.
