Dash for Dialysis Relay Run
The event promotes healthy lifestyles through physical activity, provides awareness and education about kidney disease, and raises funds for a dialysis program in the Wabasca community. It is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The race course is 103 km long, beginning in Calling Lake and finishing in Wabasca later that day. There are five mandatory exchange points along the route.
All runners and designated backup runners must be registered prior to the event. Participants under 18 must have a signed waiver and parental or guardian consent. Team members are required to sign photo and media release forms as part of registration.
Organizers recommend that each team have a minimum of four pilot vehicles. All pilot vehicles and drivers must be registered in advance, with vehicle make and model provided. Volunteers will wear neon green.
Team prizes will be awarded after completion of the race and confirmation of official results. Prize categories include the fastest team, the most spirit, and the most money raised. Accommodation options are available in the area, including Wabasca Inn and Nova Inn. Tax receipts will not be issued for this year's event.
