This event is a team relay run staged in northern Alberta, with a multi-leg route that travels from Calling Lake through the Northern Boreal Forest to Wabasca-Desmarais. The route includes ponds, creeks and varied elevation, rising to 742 m at Rock Island Hill. Organizers revised the route for safety, with an additional 2 km added across legs 11 and 12.
The course is a point-to-point route that starts at Ben Auger Memorial Park in Calling Lake and finishes at the Lakeview Sport Centre in Wabasca-Desmarais. The overall distance is reported at just over 100 km (approximately 103–105 km). The finish area will be followed by a BBQ, entertainment, and an awards ceremony. A separate Community Champion Walk of approximately 1.1 km begins and ends at the Lakeview Sport Centre.
