Danville Heritage 5K
The Danville Heritage 5K is a community 5K run/walk held at Hess Recreation Area in Danville, PA. The course follows the Hess Field loop trail, a wooded path that crosses a creek with a covered bridge and overlaps with the J. Manley Robbins Trail, which is documented as the oldest rail trail in the United States. The route is mostly flat with limited road sections and miles will be marked.
Registration opens on June 3, 2026 and closes on August 7, 2026. Entry fee is $25 for pre-registration and $30 for race day registration. Race day packet pick-up and race day registration are handled at the Hess Recreation Area picnic pavilion. Parking and restroom facilities are available at Hess Recreation Area.
Awards include 1st place overall male and female. Age-group awards for male and female will be given in these brackets: 12 and under; 13-15; 16-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
