Daffodil Dash
The Daffodil Dash is a spring running event in Ithaca, NY, held on April 25, 2026. The event includes two distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
The course runs along the Cayuga Inlet and passes extensive daffodil plantings. The event highlights over 180,000 daffodils planted by volunteers and donors. The 1-mile course finishes at Gaia, the Ithaca Children's Garden turtle.
Registration, fees and proceeds
Children 12 and under receive free registration; each youth participant must have a responsible adult on site during the race. Online registration is required and limited to the first 500 applicants or April 10, whichever comes first. Dash t-shirts are available for purchase; a youth t-shirt price of $5 is listed.
The Ithaca Garden Club and the Ithaca Children’s Garden are listed as sponsors. Organizers state that all event proceeds will be converted into daffodil bulbs to be planted at Stewart Park in October. Proceeds from the 2025 event funded 70,000 daffodil bulbs planted along the entrance to Cayuga Medical Center. Packet pick-up is offered prior to the races.
