Cypress Sprint and Youth Triathlon
The Cypress Sprint and Youth Triathlon is Race 3 of the Bayou City Triathlon Series for 2026 and is held in its 18th year. The event takes place the week of July 19 to July 26, 2026 at Festival Park, 16902 Bridgeland Landing Drive, Cypress, Texas 77433.
A pre race clinic is scheduled the weekend before the main races. The clinic includes swimming the race course, running the run course, swim technique tips, a transition clinic, nutrition advice and a question and answer session.
Race weekend features a variety of formats across two days. Saturday includes the Doggie Du and youth triathlon events. Sunday includes sprint and super sprint triathlon distances, a duathlon and an aquabike. A sprint triathlon relay is also listed among the race formats.

- Doggie Du: 200 m swim, 1 mile run
- Youth Short: 50 m swim, 2 mile bike, 0.5 mile run ages 5-10
- Youth Long: 100 m swim, 4 mile bike, 1.15 mile run ages 11-16
- Super Sprint: 200 yd swim, 7 mile bike, 2 mile run
- Sprint Tri: 550 m swim, 11 mile bike, 5k run
- Duathlon: 1 mile run, 11 mile bike, 5k run
- Aquabike: 550 m swim, 11 mile bike
