Endurance Event at Rotary Park

The Creek Trail Crusher is an endurance running event held in Paragould, Arkansas. The course begins at Rotary Park and utilizes the 8 Mile Creek Trail. This route is a completely paved path that includes no street crossings, providing a continuous running surface for participants.

The event features three primary time based categories:

  • 6 Hour Crusher
  • 12 Hour Crusher
  • 24 Hour Crusher

The competition follows a last participant standing format. All participants are required to complete a 4.167 mile out and back cycle within a time limit of 59 minutes and 59 seconds. A new cycle commences every hour on the half-hour. Success is determined by the ability to be at the start line for every consecutive cycle. If a runner does not return from the previous lap in time or fails to be at the start line when a new cycle begins, they are disqualified.

In the event that no participants complete the full time allotted for their specific race, the final person remaining is declared the winner. If multiple runners reach the final cycle of their race, the first person to complete that cycle wins.

Participants are permitted to use hydration packs and fuel on the course. A designated area is provided at the start and finish line for teams, nutrition, and aid. Lunch and dinner are provided for participants at this location. Proceeds from the event support the Paragould Police Department. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
