The Cradle Mountain Trophy - Magaliesburg, Gauteng
The Cradle Mountain Trophy is a two day gravel, mountain bike and trail event held on 3 and 4 October 2026 at Valley Lodge & Spa, Magaliesburg. It forms Leg 4 of the Stellantis Adventure Series and awards double series points. The series prize purse is R350,000 with R100,000 each for the overall male and female series winners; the event itself features over R40,000 in prize money and specific race prizes, including R10,000 winners' prizes and a R6,000 pool for the trail events.
Cycling competition includes a two day elite/open stage race plus single day stages. All cycling routes for 2026 are gravel-focused.
- Two day elite/open stage race 100 km then 70 km
- Single day stages 70 km, 45 km, 20 km
- Additional cycling option 100 km single stage and 20 km MTB
A new two day schools stage race is part of the Luxliner Schools Series, with a 15 km time trial on Saturday and shorter races on Sunday.
- Schools 15 km time trial Saturday; 20 km for U14 and 45 km for U16 and U19 Sunday
Trail running and walking take place on Saturday with route options of:
- 5 km Trail Run / Walk
- 10 km Trail Run / Walk
- 15 km Trail Run (runners only)
