Cradle Mountain Trophy : Magaliesburg, 3–4 October 2026
The Cradle Mountain Trophy is a two-day off-road festival of gravel riding, mountain biking and trail running held in the Magaliesberg. Founded in 2010, the event returns in 2026 as part of the Stellantis Adventure Series and awards double series points for this round. The overall series prize purse is R350,000 with R100,000 allocated to each overall male and female series winner.
Cycling offerings include gravel-focused courses across multiple distances that aim to test endurance while remaining accessible to social riders. Event prize money at the Cradle Mountain Trophy exceeds R40,000, with specific race winners collecting R10,000 each for designated events.
A new schools stage race, the Mountain Trophy Adventure, runs across two days as part of the Luxliner Schools Series. School riders contest a 15km time trial and a second-day race with age-based distances. Prize money is available for top-performing two-day school riders.
Trail running and walking options take place on Saturday with distinct race formats. Distances available include:
- 5km Trail Run / Walk
- 10km Trail Run / Walk
- 15km Trail Run (no walkers)
