The event offers full and half marathon distances through rolling hills, villages, and green landscapes, with notable views of Blenheim Palace near Woodstock.

The routes start at Blenheim Palace for the full marathon and at Cornbury Park for the half marathon, and the full marathon follows an A-A route back to Blenheim Palace. Parking for both distances is at Blenheim Palace and shuttle buses run from Blenheim Palace to the Cornbury Park start for the half marathon. Parking and shuttle booking are offered as part of the event arrangements.

Start waves depart at 20-minute intervals and wave allocation is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Estimated completion times provided for planning are: full marathon approximately 7.5 to 12.5 hours, and half marathon approximately 4 to 6 hours. Regular pit stops provide snacks, toilets, medical support, and a hot meal at the finish.
