2026 Cotswold Way Challenge 100 miles 4 days
The Cotswold Way Challenge is a multi-day trekking event covering 100 miles over four days. The route begins in the market town of Chipping Campden and passes through rural English landscapes, including honey-stone villages, ridgelines, and the Severn Valley. The course follows the Cotswold Way, featuring varied terrain with a sequence of ascents and descents.
Participants can choose from three main categories based on their preferred level of self-sufficiency:
- ENJOY: Participants carry only day essentials while main baggage is transferred by the organizer.
- ENDEAVOUR: Participants carry a minimum of 10 kg plus food and water.
- ENDURE: Participants carry a minimum of 15 kg plus food and water in a full self-sufficient style.
The itinerary is structured into four daily stages:
- Day 1: Chipping Campden to Cleeve Hill (25 miles / 40 km)
- Day 2: Cleeve Hill to Coaley Peak (25 miles / 40 km)
- Day 3: Coaley Peak to Hawkesbury Upton (24 miles / 38 km)
- Day 4: Hawkesbury Upton to the finish line
The event includes three nights of camping at well-equipped sites with hot showers. Upgrades to rooms, shepherds huts, or bell tents are available at additional cost. Provisions include hot breakfasts, daily packed lunches, and snacks at official checkpoints. Professional medical support and baggage transfers are provided.
