About the race
La Corrida de Houilles is an annual road race in Houilles, located about 8 km west of Paris. Inaugurated in 1972 and inspired by the corridas of Sao Paulo, the event is organized voluntarily by the Comité des fêtes de Houilles and holds an IAAF Silver label.
The meeting features a main road race over 10 km and two competition formats: a popular race open to the general public and a separate elite race for top runners. The event has a history of fast performances: in 2018 the French and European 10 km record of 27:25 was set at the race, and in 2019 the French women's 10 km record of 31:13 was recorded. At the most recent edition reported, 44 men finished in under 30 minutes and 24 women finished in under 36 minutes.
Access information notes the town is served by RER A and Transilien lines L and J, and by road D308 or D311. The Corrida de Houilles is presented as an established international 10 km road race with both popular and elite fields. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
