Corrida de Houilles
La Corrida de Houilles is an international 10 km road race held in Houilles, about 8 km west of Paris. The event was inaugurated in 1972 and was inspired by the corrida of Sao Paulo. It is presented as one of the faster 10 km road races and has seen notable performances, including a 10 km time of 27:25 that stood as a European record and a 10 km time of 31:13 that stood as a national record. At the most recent edition, 44 male finishers ran under 30 minutes and 24 female finishers ran under 36 minutes.
The meeting is organized on a voluntary basis by the Comité des fêtes de Houilles and has held an IAAF Silver label since 2015, placing it in the Top 50 worldwide of labelled races. The event offers two distinct races: the popular race, which is open to all runners and typically gathers about 1,500 to 2,000 participants, and the elite race, reserved for athletes who meet entry standards. Entry rules for the elite race specify men under 37 minutes and women under 44 minutes; both races are listed as full on the current programme.
