Corpuscle Shuffle 5K Run & Walk
The Corpuscle Shuffle is an annual October run and walk organized by ImpactLife near its headquarters. Participants gather for a choice of distances and follow a 5-kilometer course that runs through hills on city streets close to the facility. The event concludes with an awards ceremony and a post-race gathering at Five Cities Brewery, where a complimentary breakfast is provided for participants.
The event supports ImpactLife’s LifeSavings Grant program. Sponsorships and race registrations together raise more than $20,000 annually for grants to kindergarten through 12th grade schools that host mobile blood drives. Each participating school receives a base grant of $250 plus one dollar per registered blood donor; schools may use grants to buy books, equipment, or technology, to fund scholarships, or to donate the funds to another nonprofit or cause.
Course features include mile markers, patrols at key intersections by the Bettendorf Police Department and race volunteers, and chip timing. The event allows strollers and well-behaved dogs on leash; participants are asked to be mindful of safety and other participants’ comfort.
Registration categories and fees are published for adults, youth, late registration, and a Sleep In option. Packet pickup is available at the ImpactLife lobby, 5500 Lakeview Parkway, Davenport, IA, the day before the event and the morning of the event.
