About the race
The ImpactLife Corpuscle Shuffle 5K Run and Walk is an autumn community event for ImpactLife staff, blood donors, volunteers, and supporters. It takes place on an October Saturday and offers a short road course through hills on city streets near the organization headquarters. After the run and walk, participants gather at Five Cities Brewery for an awards ceremony and a post race gathering; the brewery opens early for the event and provides a complimentary breakfast.

Sponsorship and registration revenues support the LifeSavings Grant program. Each year the event raises more than $20,000 toward those grants. Kindergarten through 12th grade schools that host mobile blood drives with ImpactLife receive a grant of $250 plus $1 for each registered blood donor. Grants may be used to buy books, equipment, and technology; for scholarships; or to donate to another nonprofit or cause.
The 5K course includes mile markers, is chip timed, and is patrolled at key intersections by the Bettendorf Police Department and race volunteers. Sponsorship levels are available from $100 to $5,000. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
