Corner Canyon Half Marathon, 10K and 5K
The Draper City Corner Canyon races travel mainly through Corner Canyon on the dirt trail system, passing features such as Ghost Falls, the silica pit, and the Bear Canyon Suspension Bridge. Participants may encounter local wildlife and fall foliage along the route.
Distances:
- Half Marathon trail race
- 10K trail race
- 5K trail race
Courses include multiple surfaces, such as pavement, sand, gravel, and packed dirt, with varying grades both uphill and downhill. Trail widths range from road-width to single-track; several single-track stretches make passing difficult at times, so runners are asked to call passes and allow safe passing. Race time is recorded by chip rather than gun time.
The half marathon registration package includes a long-sleeve tech shirt, a souvenir beanie cap, a drawstring bag, an individual race photo download, a race bib with timing chip, and awards for overall and age/gender winners. The 10K and 5K packages include a long-sleeve tech shirt, drawstring bag, race photo download, timing chip, and awards. Register by August 20, 2026 to receive a shirt; after that date shirts are not included and extra shirts may be available for purchase at packet pick-up while supplies last.
Packet pick-up occurs the two days before the event at the Parks and Recreation office and on race morning at Andy Ballard Arena. Several aid stations provide water and sports drinks along the routes, with refreshments at the finish. A professional photographer will capture runners on course. The event has a four hour cut-off time; event staff and marshals are withdrawn after that time. The event is scheduled to run in snow, rain, or shine but may be canceled or postponed for severe weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
