Copythorne Carnival Run 5k/10k
The Copythorne Carnival Run features a village road course offered in two distances. The event includes real-time chip timing and bespoke finisher medals. Bespoke-design technical T-shirts are available to purchase with entry for a stated fee. All proceeds support Scouting in the local community. The event listing indicates entries are sold out.
Race number collection is available on the evening and in advance at Up & Running in Chandlers Ford and at the Copythorne Scout HQ the weekend before the event. A barbecue operated by Explorer Scouts will sell hot food before, during and after the run, and a barista will provide hot drinks. The retail partner Up & Running supplies race bibs and prizes.
Water is provided on the route by The Compass Pub at Winsor and local residents, and there is water at the finish for entrants to refill bottles to reduce single-use plastic. Transfers are accepted only once a distance has sold out; entrants handle any exchange of funds between each other. Deferrals and withdrawals are not accepted. Families and children are welcome; children under 11 must run with an adult. Parking is available at Copythorne Parish Hall, about a 10-minute walk away, and car sharing is encouraged.
Course streets include A31 Romsey Road, Pollards Moor Road, Winsor Road and Barrow Hill Road, with the finish at the Scout Hut. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
