Copythorne Carnival Run 5k/10k : 8 June 2026
The Copythorne Carnival Run is a community road race held on 8 June 2026 and sponsored by Paultons Park. The event offers two distances:
- 5 km : a single lap finishing at the Scout Hut.
- 10 km : two laps of the same course.
The course runs around the village on A31 Romsey Road, Pollards Moor Road, Winsor Road and Barrow Hill Road, with a short out-and-back on Winsor Road to ensure accurate distance. Entrants receive real-time chip timing and bespoke finisher medals. For the first time bespoke technical T shirts are available to purchase with entry for £7.50 plus a small booking fee. Entry fees vary by distance and age category.
Race number collection is available on the event day in the late afternoon and in advance at Up & Running in Chandlers Ford and at Copythorne Scout HQ the weekend before the event. Live music will be present and a barbecue run by the Explorer Scouts will sell food and hot drinks. Water stations are provided on the route by The Compass Pub and local residents, and water will be available at the finish for bottle refills to reduce single use plastic.
All proceeds from the event support Scouting in the local community. Transfers, deferrals and withdrawals are subject to the event policy and children under 11 must run with an adult entrant. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
