The Coolest 5K in Texas takes place on July 3, 2026 at Jeff Davis County Park in Fort Davis, Texas. The event is held in the morning and includes short and standard distance runs through the local area around the park.

The event is chip-timed and requires runners to wear their bib on the front of the shirt for accurate timing. The race start and finish are located at Jeff Davis County Park. One water station is provided along the course.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories, including 9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; and 70 plus.
Packet pickup and late registration are available on the morning of the race at Jeff Davis County Park. Parking inside the park is very limited; overflow parking will be along Hwy 17 South, which carries fast-moving traffic, so care is advised.
The event has a no refunds policy. In case of cancellation for safety reasons, shirts and race packets will still be available for pickup. Registering by June 10, 2025 guarantees a preferred shirt size. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
