Event Overview

The Cook Forest 25K Trail Challenge is a 25-kilometer trail run in Cook Forest State Park. The event has been held since 2018.

Course Details

The course is a single loop using over 17 miles of trails within the park. The route connects 13 different trails. It begins on the Seneca Trail and passes the historic Cook Forest Fire Tower. The course also runs alongside the Clarion River and through the Tom’s Run area, which features old-growth evergreen trees.

Aid Stations

Three aid stations are placed along the course. They are staffed by local high school cross country teams and provide hydration and nutrition.

Packet pickup and day-of registration are available at Shelter 2 on the morning of the race. Registration is handled through UltraSignup. Nearby lodging options include cabins, campsites, and local inns. Organizers suggest dressing in layers due to variable weather in the forest.
