Event Overview
Conquer The Canal takes place in Delaware City, Delaware. The event base is located in the field at the start of the Michael Castle Trail. Participants use the trail, heading toward Maryland to reach a turnaround point before returning to the original starting location.
The event offers several distances to accommodate different types of participants:
- Marathon: 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- Tailwind Shuffle 10K: 6.2 miles
- The Headwind Hustle 5K: 3.1 miles
- The Jackson 5K: 3.1 miles
The course follows the scenic C&D Canal. The Headwind Hustle 5K is organized as a competitive race, while The Jackson 5K is designated as a family fun walk and run. The Tailwind Shuffle 10K and the Half Marathon are newer additions to the event schedule. At the finish line, a gathering is held to support the athletes as they complete their respective distances.
