Columbia Classic 10K - Columbia, MD
The Columbia Classic 10K is a 10 kilometer road race staged in downtown Columbia, Maryland. The event is presented by the Downtown Columbia Partnership, Howard County Striders and Feet First Sports. The course runs on paved roadway around the Columbia Mall and through surrounding neighborhoods, with the start and finish located on the top level of the Wincopin Parking Garage at 10201 Little Patuxent Parkway.
Runners must be at least 10 years old to participate. The race uses bib tag timing with the timing chip affixed to the back of the bib and posts results online in real time. There are two water stations on course, located at mile 2.2 and mile 4.4. Porta-potties are provided at the start and finish area; there are no bathrooms on the run course.
Race registration includes a participant shirt, a finisher medal and post race food. Registrants who complete registration by September 11 are guaranteed a shirt. Packet pick-up takes place at the race venue on race day. Transfers of bibs to non-registered runners are not permitted; deferral to the following year is available under the event policy.
Awards are presented for overall male and female top five finishers and top three in each listed age group including male, female and non-binary categories. Participants must accept awards in person; awards will not be mailed. Pets, baby joggers and non-official wheeled vehicles are prohibited on course.
