Colour Rush 5 km Powder Run : Slave Lake

Colour Rush is a non-timed 5 km powder run held at Hilda Eben Park in Slave Lake, Alberta. The event uses a corn starch-based, non-toxic powder with food-grade dyes. Volunteers are instructed to throw powder below the head; participants are advised that many choose to wear sunglasses, goggles, or a bandana as extra protection. People allergic to corn or food dye should not participate. Participants who are pregnant or have health concerns are asked to consult their doctor.

Proceeds support the Slave Lake Child Care Society (Legacy Childcare). Registration options listed include no-swag and with-swag categories for two age groups with published prices in Canadian dollars: no swag 5–12 years CAD 5, no swag 13 years and up CAD 10, with swag 5–12 years CAD 25, with swag 13 years and up CAD 45. Discounted t-shirts from previous events may be available for sale.

Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian; participants aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult. Children aged 4 and under do not require separate registration but must be accompanied and will receive a bib. Pets, bikes, scooters, and prohibited items are not allowed on the course. There is no bag check; water stations are available. Lost items are taken to the event check-in tent.
