Colors for Care 5K : April 18, 2026
The Colors for Care 5K is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at Madisonville City Park, 755 Park Ave, Madisonville, KY 42431. The event raises funds to support the Hopkins County Community Clinic. Strollers and well-behaved leashed dogs are allowed; participants with dogs are asked to clean up after them and start behind the runners. Children younger than 6th grade may participate but will not be timed or receive a race shirt.
Events, registration and packet pick-up
- 5K - 18+ (non-students). Fee: $20.
- 5K - Students (6th-12th grade). Fee: $12.
- Mad Dash - kids under 6th grade. Fee: $0. Not timed; no shirt.
Online registration closes April 16, 2026. Participants registered by March 20, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt; registrations after that date may not receive a shirt. Packet pick-up is available on April 17 outside the Trover Clinic Tower and on race morning at the registration table. Same-day registration may be offered on race morning; shirt availability cannot be guaranteed for same-day registrants. Prizes are planned but details are listed as TBD.
Beneficiary and community work
Proceeds support the Hopkins County Community Clinic, which provides free medical care including cardiovascular screenings and prescription assistance to uninsured or underinsured Hopkins County residents. Medical students assist at community events to provide basic health measures. Sponsors and donations from this race helped screen 246 individuals in the past year.
