Colors for Care 5K - Madisonville, KY
The Colors for Care 5K takes place on April 18, 2026 at Madisonville City Park, 755 Park Ave. The event raises funds to support the Hopkins County Community Clinic and its free medical services for uninsured or underinsured county residents.
Event options include:
- Colors for Care 5K 18+ (non-students)
- Colors for Care 5K Students 6th to 12th grade
- Mad Dash for kids under 6th grade
- Colors for Care 5K virtual event
Strollers and well behaved leashed dogs are permitted with the request that they start behind runners and that owners clean up after pets. Children younger than 6th grade may participate in the Mad Dash but are not eligible for a shirt and are not timed like other runners.
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the race outside the Trover Clinic Tower and again on race morning at the registration table. Online registration closes April 16, 2026. Participants registered by March 20, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt; registrations after that date may not receive a shirt due to production and availability. Same day registration will be available by cash or check but a shirt cannot be guaranteed.
Prizes will be awarded, details to be determined. Proceeds and sponsor support fund community screenings and prescription assistance; last year donations helped screen 246 individuals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
