Colors Against Cancer 2026
Colors Against Cancer is an annual color run scheduled for April 26, 2026 at Edgemont Jr./Sr. High School in Scarsdale, New York. The event honors an Edgemont student who was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2003 and who created Tay-Bandz to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research. The community previously organized Relay for Tay and created this color run to extend that focus.
The event is an untimed 5k during which participants are showered with non toxic color powder. Participants may walk, jog, or run and are advised to wear sneakers and white clothing. Registration requires creating a Race Roster account. Early registration information in the event materials states a guaranteed T shirt for those who sign up by March 30; later registration runs through April 26 and race day registration is also listed. The Tay-Bandz fundraising group is listed with $1,085.27 raised toward a $15,000 goal and the event listing shows 84 participants registered.
