Event Overview
The Color Fun Run in Williamston, North Carolina, features a route primarily located on the Skewarkee Rail Trail. This event offers two participation options on a flat and scenic course that is shaded along the majority of its path:
- 5K Run (Timed)
- 5K Walk (Untimed)
The course utilizes a former CSX rail line that extends to the Roanoke River boat landing. Participants follow the trail to this turnaround point before returning to the original starting location, which also serves as the finish line. A short section of the route takes place on a street adjacent to the trail.
Participant Information
As participants progress along the 5K route, color is thrown at specific intervals. Registration fees vary based on the selected category, with increased rates for those registering on the day of the event. Children under eight years old may participate for free, though shirts are not included for this age group unless purchased separately.
Registered participants who complete their entry before May 1, 2026, receive a t-shirt in their requested size. For those registering after this date, extra shirts are available while supplies last.
