Color Blaze 5k Run/Walk
The Color Blaze 5K Run/Walk takes place on August 1, 2026 in Le Claire, Iowa at 501 Huckleberry Lane. The event is untimed; participants are encouraged to enjoy the experience rather than compete for time. There are no age restrictions for participation.
Each participant receives a t-shirt, a grab bag with assorted items, and an individual color packet. Starting this year, t-shirts are guaranteed for all participants. Children age five and under do not need to register to participate, but a registration is required if a child five or under should receive a t-shirt.
Registration information is provided by the organizer. Registration opens April 25, 2026 with an initial fee of $25 per person. The registration fee increases to $30 beginning June 29, 2026. Registration closes June 29, 2026.
All proceeds from the event will go to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. The stated purpose for the donations is to support efforts aimed at ending childhood cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
