Coldwater National Honor Society Turkey Trot
The Coldwater National Honor Society Turkey Trot is an annual community event hosted by Coldwater High School. The race serves as a fundraiser to support several local organizations, including the Shelterhouse, veterans' groups, and youth programs within the Coldwater area. The event takes place at Coldwater High School, with the staging area located in the west student parking lot at 275 N Fremont Street.
Participants can take part in the following event:
- 5K Run/Walk (5 km)
The race features professional timing and scoring, with live results provided by MAC's Sports Timing. Participants who register by the beginning of November are guaranteed a race t-shirt. For those registering after the deadline, a limited number of additional shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis during packet pickup.
Awards are presented to various age groups, which include categories for participants 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. In addition to age group medals, the overall male and female winners receive a plaque and a frozen turkey. Packet pickup is held on the morning of the event at the high school.
