About the race
Coastal Five is a multi-race event held in Taranaki, New Plymouth on 14–15 November 2026. The event runs across two days and combines multiple distances into a single festival of running, including a full challenge that totals 42.2 km when completed across the five events. Races scheduled as part of the event include a half marathon, a 10 km climb at Pukeiti, shorter park and lake courses, and a one-mile race through central New Plymouth. The program lists separate entry categories and pricing for each race, including Super Early Bird, Early Bird, Standard, and Late periods.
A team challenge is offered where individual team members’ results contribute to a combined team score. The courses pass notable local sites referenced by the organiser: Taranaki Maunga, the Coastal Walkway, Pukekura Park, Pukeiti Gardens, and Lake Mangamahoe.
