Coastal Classic Run/Walk Events : Taieri Mouth
The Coastal Classic run and walk programme at Taieri Mouth offers events over a variety of distances on a mixed-surface coastal course. All run/walk activity uses routes through gravel road, farm paddocks, coastal tracks, beaches and wetlands, with a separate course from the bike events and once-a-year access to privately owned farmland.
Event location and facilities are centred on Livingstonia Park and include a hospitality stop at the Seascape Cafe where participants receive complimentary coffee or tea with a muffin. Runners are timed and receive category and overall placings; place getters are acknowledged and all participants are eligible for spot prizes.

- 5 km Harraways Family Fun Run/Walk and Under 14 Beach Race
- 12 km NZ Safety Blackwoods Moturata Views Recreational Walk and Unifone Craypot Run
- 21 km Smiths Sports Shoes Akatore Challenge Run
Age and entry notes: the Under 14 race has a minimum age of 10. The 21 km event requires a minimum age of 14. Applications for entrants under minimum age may be considered with adult consent and at the Coastal Classic committee’s discretion. Entry fees vary by event, with lower fees for youth and set fees for each distance category. The event is organised by TM Events Group in association with the Taieri Mouth Amenities Society and returns profits to the local Taieri Mouth community.
