About the race
Coast to Crest is the 11th annual trail race in Del Mar, California, held at the San Andreas Staging Lot, 15551 San Andres Dr, on March 27, 2027. The event serves as the final Championship Qualifier for both distances.
Both the 10K and 5K courses are out and back, well groomed, and run entirely on hard-packed dirt trail. With the exception of the first quarter mile, the route is very flat and is considered a sprint course. Elevation gain is listed at 50' to 100' depending on the race, and each course features a downhill finish.
The route passes wide open lagoon views and runs alongside habitat where osprey are commonly seen. The surface and minimal elevation make the courses among the faster trail options in the region. Race day parking is available on San Andres Drive and in adjacent lots near the staging area.
