Coast to Crest 10K and 5K
The Coast to Crest 10K and 5K is a trail running event held in Del Mar, California. Now in its 10th year, the race takes place at 2801 Via De La Valle. The event features two main distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The route is an out-and-back course consisting of 100% dirt trail. The terrain is well-groomed and characterized by a very flat profile, with the exception of the opening quarter mile. Both distances conclude with a downhill finish. Because of the flat topography, the course is often referred to as a sprint course.
The location offers views of the local lagoon. The area is a known nesting site for Osprey, which participants may observe during the run. These races serve as the final championship qualifier for the Sunshine Series. Registration is open to all levels of runners and walkers.
