Course, logistics and awards
The 12K follows a long loop on paved suburban roads, crosses the I-49 bridge, passes the Leggett & Platt headquarters, continues onto the Ruby Jack path, crosses Rt66 again, and returns to the Drive‑In theater. County sheriff officers will staff critical road crossings. The 12K course is USATF-certified and may be used for Missouri state record or personal record purposes.
The 5K starts at the same Drive‑In location, does not cross Rt66, and runs almost entirely on the Ruby Jack trail as an out-and-back. The 5K turnaround is at the trail parking lot adjacent to Leggett & Platt headquarters.
Overall male and female awards are given for each race, with additional age-group and age-graded awards. Missouri age-record awards are available for any Missouri age records set. All finishers receive a medal. The event includes vendors, music, a raffle for gift certificates, and an award ceremony for both races.
