Cirque Series - Snowbird, Utah
Cirque Series - Snowbird takes place on July 11, 2026 at Snowbird Tram Plaza. The event is a single mountain course of 8.9 miles with 3,610 feet of climbing and is capped at 500 runners.
The course begins at the Tram Plaza base area and follows a service road along the creek to Creekside base area before a sustained climb. The route climbs toward Mid-Gad chair, continues east on Rothman Way, then connects to the Peruvian service road on Peruvian Gulch Trail. Runners move onto the Ridge trail and Cirque Ridge to reach Hidden Peak. A loop around the backside of Hidden Peak leads to Gorilla Pass service road and a singletrack ascent to the Summit of Mt. Baldy, the highest point on the course.
The return includes a steep and technical descent, a technical boulder traverse, an uphill to Snowbird’s Ski through Tunnel, and downhill service roads and singletrack back to the finish at Tram Plaza.
The course is the direct route to the high alpine and is marked with orange flagging. Competitors must follow the flagged route for safety. If a runner dislodges a rock they should shout "rock" to warn others; those who hear the call should turn away and protect their head. There is a strict two hour cutoff at the Hidden Peak summit; competitors who do not meet the cutoff will take the tram down. The race course lies within the Salt Lake Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
Each competitor receives a snapback, giveaway ticket, logoed bib and medal, a sponsor swag bag, and professional race photos. Cirque Series hats are available at the event merch booth. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
