Cirque Series - Snowbird, UT
The event on July 11, 2026 in Snowbird, Utah is an 8.9 mile mountain race with 3,610 feet of climbing. The course begins and ends at Tram Plaza and follows service roads and singletrack into high alpine terrain on the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
Runners follow a service road along the creek for about half a mile to Creekside base area before a sustained climb toward the Mid-Gad chair. The route connects to Rothman Way and the Peruvian Gulch Trail, then moves onto Ridge Trail and Cirque Ridge up to Hidden Peak. The course loops behind Hidden Peak, descends to Gorilla Pass service road, then ascends via singletrack to the Summit of Mt. Baldy, the highest point on the route. The return includes a steep technical downhill, a boulder traverse, an uphill section to Snowbird’s ski through tunnel, and singletrack and service roads back to Tram Plaza.
The course is marked with orange flagging and may be adjusted as necessary. There is a strict 2 hour cut-off at the Hidden Peak summit; competitors who do not meet the cut-off will take the tram down. Safety instructions emphasize careful footwork, immediate vocal warning if a rock is dislodged, and protecting the head if the call of rock is heard.
