Cirque Series - Alta
The Cirque Series returns to Alta, Utah, for a trail race held at the Alta Ski Area. This event consists of a single course distance of 7.1 miles that features 2,545 feet of vertical gain. Participants can choose to register in one of three divisions based on their experience level: Sport, Expert, or Pro. Participation for the event is limited to 500 total entries.
The race utilizes electronic timing with disposable chips attached to the bibs. Hydration is provided for participants at designated aid stations and at the finish line. As the event takes place in a mountain environment, participants are required to follow leave no trace principles, which include disposing of waste in proper containers and avoiding trespassing on private property near the trails.
The event recognizes top finishers in various categories through both cash and gear prizes. Specific awards are also given to the youngest competitor, the wisest competitor, and the runner who finishes exactly in the middle of the pack.
