Circle City Donut Dash

The Circle City Donut Dash is a themed running event held in Indianapolis, starting and finishing at the Fowling Warehouse. The race follows a course that highlights the local area while raising funds for Teachers' Treasures, a non-profit organization that provides school supplies to students in need. Participants can choose between several 5K formats:

  • Donut Challenge: A 5K run where participants must consume 12 donut holes at the halfway point before returning to the finish line.
  • Non-Donut 5K: A standard 5K run or walk for those who prefer to enjoy their donuts after crossing the finish line.
  • Virtual 5K: A flexible option allowing participants to complete their run at any location during the race week.

All in-person participants receive a race shirt, a finisher medal, and a timed bib. The event features an after-party with refreshments, including coffee, water, and donuts provided by local vendors. For participants aged 21 and over, drink tickets are provided for local craft beer, cocktails, or wine samples.

A costume contest is part of the festivities, with awards for best-dressed individuals and teams in donut-themed attire. Overall and age-group awards are presented for both the Donut Challenge and the Non-Donut 5K. The course is timed by professional race timers, and participants must wear their bibs on their outermost layer of clothing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
