Event information
The CINCO DE MILE 5 QUE - FRESNO 5K is scheduled for May 1, 2026 at Woodward Park, 7775 N Friant Rd, Fresno, CA. The event program includes these distances and categories:
- 5 km
- 2 mile walk
- Kids races: 400 m, 200 m, 100 m, 50 m, 10 m
- Athena (women over 185 lbs)
- Clydesdale (men over 225 lbs)
The kids program is open to children 12 and under. The 5K lists standard age-group divisions and Athena/Clydesdale category awards.
Course, awards and services
The course is an out-and-back route that begins at the Group Activity Area. The surface is roughly 50% paved bike trail and 50% dirt road/trail. Participants receive a shirt, a bag, a unique medal, and food and drink offerings listed as tacos and Mexican aguas frescas. Top finishers earn age-group awards; the 5K specifies age groups (<19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Kids races award the top three boys and girls in each distance and all kids receive a shirt and medal. The event is a 20-point Central Valley Runner of the Year race and is part of the Reyes Running Series, which awards an additional series medal.
